Love her, hate her, wish she would go away, wish she’d run in 2012, whatever other reactions that Sarah Palin has elicited, there’s no denying that she’s made for an intriguing “character” in the Republican party. I thought it was odd that in her first post election interview with Greta Van Susteren she chose to cook while answering Greta’s questions. In this new interview Palin answers questions at a turkey farm in Alaska. Apparently she pardoned a turkey for Thanksgiving as is tradition. However, for the entirety of the interview, there is an unnamed worker in the background slaughtering less fortunate turkeys. I honestly couldn’t even tell you what Palin says in this interview. I couldn’t stop watching the guy in the background go on about his business while trying to hear what she was saying. The framing of this shot and juxtaposition of the elements is almost mesmerizing. If Todd Palin and a “snow machine” has been worked into the shot this would have been an absolute masterpiece.
